MORE FRAUD FROM THE MILITARY The army relies on low wages and unemployment to drive young people into their clutches. All over the UK army regiments set up glossy stalls on high streets and in jobcentres, often targetting communities which have been ravaged by the collapse of local industry and never bothering to mention bloodshed or death. With their misleading propaganda they entice people who have only just finished being schoolkids, turning the victims of politicians and bosses in this country into a tool for enforcing the will of politicians and bosses around the world. They show us TV adverts telling us how "challenging" and "exciting" it is to join up. They don't show us the reality of being bullied and shouted at all day long by sadistic nutters. They don't tell us that you'll only be treated as a hero once you're dead. They never mention dodgy two-faced politicians who might send you off to kill or die for the good of their own career. And they never mention the pay, which for an average squaddy is shit. You might want to give the following numbers a ring and let them know what you think of such 'career opportunities'.
